The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Kabul celebrated the Day of Slavic Script and Culture. On Sunday, May 24, the center announced that the event was organized to introduce the history of writing, education, and the centuries-old traditions of Slavic nations.
According to the published statement, the program began with the screening of a video about the history of writing. The video illustrated the transmission of knowledge from primitive methods to the emergence of the Cyrillic alphabet and its role in the development of education and literature.
Another part of the event featured an exhibition of artistic and visual interpretations of Slavic alphabet letters, where visitors became familiar with the cultural and historical aspects of this alphabet.
Slavic culture refers to the shared heritage of Slavic nations, including Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Serbs, Bulgarians, Poles, and several other peoples. This culture is rooted in ancient history, Slavic languages, classical literature, music, folklore, traditional customs, and spiritual values.
According to the information presented during the event, Slavic culture has historically been greatly influenced by Orthodox Christianity, and this influence can be seen in various cultural and social aspects of Slavic nations.
