Dolly Parton, the renowned American singer, songwriter, and actress known as the “Queen of Country Music,” died on Tuesday at the age of 80. Her family announced her death in a statement.
Brian Seaver, Parton’s nephew, confirmed the singer’s death in a video posted on her Instagram page. The family has not disclosed the cause of death, but her spokesperson said Parton died peacefully in Nashville.
