The spokesperson for the Balkh governor, Haji Zaid, stated that a delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Railways, Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, met with the Deputy Governor of Uzbekistan’s Republic of Roblitly, Hikmatullah Rahmatov, and his delegation on Thursday at the Hairatan border crossing.

During this meeting, it was agreed that the services at Hairatan port will be extended to 23 hours from now on. This will help improve transportation logistics and streamline the loading and unloading process. According to the officials, this extension will also ease access to laboratory services, and the capacity for transfers will increase.

Additionally, the number of transit containers from Roblitly will also rise, with the volume expanding from around 130 containers to 500 even to 700 containers.

The spokesperson further emphasized that both sides are committed to strengthening trade relations through the Hairatan route, and they will collaborate to provide new facilities for the continued development of this port.
