The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced that with the completion of new gas wells in the Yatim Taq area of Jawzjan province, the gas production capacity in this area will increase to 125,000 cubic meters per day. This move is part of efforts to develop the country’s energy resources.
Humayun Afghan, the spokesperson for the Ministry, wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) page that Mullah Mohammad, the General Director of Hydrocarbons, emphasized the acceleration of the implementation of this important project during his visit to the wells. According to him, this project is of significant importance in the energy sector.
Based on this report, the General Director of Hydrocarbons provided necessary guidance to the relevant officials to improve the work process, ensuring that the project progresses with greater speed and accuracy.
Meanwhile, it is reported that a contract for drilling two gas wells in the Yatim Taq area, worth $7.8 million, has been signed with a Turkish company. The goal of the contract is to increase the gas production capacity in this region.
