Officials of the Taliban administration in Bamyan Province say that during the Eid al-Adha holidays, nearly 300,000 domestic and foreign tourists visited the province’s historical, archaeological, and recreational sites.
Saboor Farzan Siaghani, the Taliban’s spokesperson in Bamyan, stated that among these visitors, 141,000 people visited Band-e Amir National Park alone, which is considered one of the country’s most important natural and tourist attractions.
According to him, the remaining tourists visited Bamyan’s historical monuments, ancient sites, and other recreational destinations.
Officials say that Bamyan Province is regarded as one of the country’s most important tourist provinces due to its natural beauty, historical significance, and archaeological heritage. Every year, especially during religious holidays and public vacations, it hosts large numbers of domestic and international tourists.
