The mountaineering teams of Miwand, Kandahar, and Dondar, Herat, organized a joint mountaineering event in Kandahar province on Friday. The program was aimed at strengthening sports cooperation between athletes from the two provinces.
In this event, four athletes from Herat province and ten athletes from Kandahar province participated. The participants had coordinated in advance to join this joint ascent.
According to officials, the members of both teams were able to reach an altitude of 1,791 meters on the mountains of Arghandab district in Kandahar province by the end of the event. This ascent is considered the main achievement of this joint program.
