Rashid Khan, the renowned cricket star from Afghanistan, has been appointed as a new member of the Players’ Advisory Committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC). This decision was announced as part of recent changes to the composition of the committee.
The ICC has emphasized that with these changes, the role and voice of players in the decision-making processes of global cricket will be further strengthened.
According to the announcement, alongside Rashid Khan, Chamari Athapaththu from Sri Lanka and Wayne Madsen from Italy have also been added to the new composition of the Players’ Advisory Committee.
Additionally, Daryl Mitchell and Matt Henry from New Zealand have been introduced as new members. The committee previously included figures such as Pat Cummins, Jason Holder, Heather Knight, and Aiden Markram, who provide advice on important global cricket matters.
