The Information and Culture Department of Paktika province has announced that it has opened a one-day book exhibition in Sherna, the provincial center. According to Taliban officials, hundreds of books from various fields have been put on display at this exhibition.
Officials of the Taliban’s Information and Culture Department say that the main goal of this exhibition is to strengthen the culture of reading in society and encourage young people to read books. They added that through such programs, they aim to familiarize the younger generation with reading and motivate them.
Local residents have also welcomed such exhibitions, stating that book fairs can strengthen the reading culture and enhance the intellectual level of young people.
