Amitabh Bachchan, the renowned Indian film actor, has been invited to Iran to attend the Kabaddi World Cup. However, his trip to Iran has not yet been confirmed, and the president of Iran’s Kabaddi Federation has said that efforts will be made to facilitate the actor’s attendance at the event.
On Friday, August 7, the Iranian newspaper Hamshahri reported, citing a video message from the president of Iran’s Kabaddi Federation, that the federation is seeking to invite Amitabh Bachchan to Iran during the Kabaddi World Cup.
Referring to Bachchan’s popularity among Indian cinema fans, the president of Iran’s Kabaddi Federation said that efforts would be made to facilitate his participation in the competition. However, no details have so far been provided regarding a possible travel date or whether the actor will ultimately attend the event.
Amitabh Bachchan has been active in the Indian film industry for more than five decades and is regarded as one of its most prominent and recognizable figures. He gained widespread fame in India and internationally through his roles in films such as Sholay, Deewaar, and Zanjeer.
